Baseball, Fireworks, Sun, and more...

July 2008 was filled with baseball, fireworks, sun, and more... What fun we had! We celebrated the Fourth of July with friends. We had a blast on the patio swimming and grilling. That evening we lit fireworks and watched our town's firework show as well.

Katie Beth went to a performing arts camp for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, the kids put on a musical production. It was impressive! Beforehand, we dined with the entire Big K clan minus two. And afterwards, we made a necessary stop at Braum's Ice Cream Store. On Sunday, we attended mass at my brother's church and then went to their home for lunch, followed by swimming at the local country club.

We also traveled to OKC twice this month to watch the Redhawks play baseball. Baseball, hotdogs, peanuts, and beer... life is good!

We are a little sad that summer is coming to an end, but the girls are starting to get excited about the upcoming school year.

Just a few more...

We had so many great pics from Vegas that I just had to add a few more. The first picture is of Maggie, Isabella, and I riding the roller coaster at Circus, Circus!, (Blake and Katie Beth wanted nothing to do with it...). What a blast!!!! The second picture is of the The Eiffel Tower--the view is from our table at Mon Ami Gabi. The third picture is of Maggie and Isabella at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Restaurant. That place is a lot of fun--good food, good entertainment, and good music! The last picture is of Katie Beth at the Bellagio. Blake and I visit there every summer to see how they have changed their garden area. It's so beautiful!

Vegas, Baby!

Blake and I took the girls to Vegas for 6 days in June. It was fabulous! We stayed at one of our favorite hotels/casinos, The Paris. We took the girls to Circus, Circus! and the arcade at New York, New York! During the days, we hung out a the hotel pool.

We celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary during our trip. That evening we went up the Eiffel Tower. The view was fantastic! The lights up and down the strip were beautiful. We then dined at our favorite restaurant in Vegas, Mon Ami Gabi. It is a French restaurant in The Paris. The girls have heard us talk about this place for years, and they finally ate a meal there. It is "fancy" restaurant, and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We dined on the patio which overlooks the light and music show at The Bellagio. Fabulous!

I'm sure this is the first trip of many with our girls.
