Young vs. Old

My brother, Tom, and his family visited last weekend. We a fun day hanging out in the pool. The dads, Blake and Tom, started roughhousing with the kids and a battle began... I think the kids won because the dads were so tired after awhile that they just gave up.

The Chick-fil-A cow really does exist!!!

And I thought he was just a myth.

When the cow started walking towards us, Jack Henry screamed in terror. JH was not impressed and tried to stay as far away as possible.

Celebrating the embrace of God

On Saturday evening, we baptized Jon Henry. Friends and family came together to celebrate. We had a celebration afterwards at our house. What a wonderful evening! We are very blessed.

Katie Beth and my nephew Michael were the godparents.

My parents with my sister Theresa and my brother Tom.

Warning!

Goofy, lovable, old man on the loose at Target!

The girls and I spent a few days with my dad this week. My mom was out of town for meetings, and my dad was a little "under the weather." So, we hung out with him. We ate, played, shopped, and watched movies. (For you Jane Austen fans, I highly recommend the movie "Becoming Jane" starring Anne Hathaway.)

Look what we found!

Maggie was playing in the backyard the other day and found a bird's nest. How exciting! It is on a lower branch, so I am tall enough to peek in and lift the girls up.

Pool Time

We finally had a hot, sunny day in our part of the world on a day off. We enjoyed an afternoon in the pool.

She's Back!

Katie Beth is home! We were all so happy to have her home again. We all missed her so much! It's funny how a family is not complete when one family member is gone. The girls and I (plus Jack Henry) picked her up from camp. To celebrate, we ate at Pops! This is a really cool restaurant right outside of Oklahoma City with a huge lit-up soda bottle in the front. They serve great food and have hundreds of different kinds of old-fashioned sodas.

Sisters Up to No Good...

Yikes! Look what happened to Jack Henry when his sisters got a hold of him.

I found two packages of unopened Baby Gap PJ's from Maggie and Isabella's room. Well, I couldn't let these great pajamas go to waste... So, Jack Henry is now wearing them. He doesn't mind the pink because he is secure in his masculinity. Isabella added the pink bow. With three girls, I have a huge drawer full of bows that are never used anymore. They shouldn't go to waste either, should they?

Shhhhh......more fun

Yes, we have been having more fun without Katie Beth. The girls and I, plus the little man, went to McDonald's for breakfast--something we hardly ever do. This was Jack Henry's first visit to Mickey D's in America. He loved playing on the playground with the girls.
